Matt Watson is a strategic leader with years of experience building and developing successful teams in metric-driven and highly technical environments. As SVP of SMB sales at Waystar, he drives revenue growth, career development, demand generation and more. His charisma and enthusiasm paired with his technical skills and analytical approach have helped Matt to consistently drive growth and success with his teams.
A longtime trailblazer at Waystar, Matt first joined the team in 2011 as Director of Sales, a role in which he helped increased revenue by 20% year over year. During his tenure, he has been responsible for over $100M in won opportunities, multiple sales and lead-gen/sales development teams, and over 150 national referral and reseller relationships.
Prior to his time at Waystar, Matt served as Director of Sales at Vantiv, where he established sales teams focused on direct business and partner referrals and managed key relationships with financial institutions and software vendors.
Matt holds a BS from the University of Louisville.
